9 years ago+3 3 0[Features] Daily megathread in /t/lounge for new people to say "Hi" , and adjust this in the first email sent to new members.
/t/lounge used to be a place of discussion, and of a few "hellos" from new people introducing themselves. I'm more than happy for people to still say Hi in the /t/lounge (hey, that's how I did as well), but with the amount of new people it is getting very messy and hard to see discussions happening.
I remember when I first joined, there was already a megathread like this, and people were sharing a lot more than just a hello.

Ahh, teenage girl cliques. You hate to love them or love to hate them, but either way, you can't stop watching them. They’re the most popular girls in school, and even if they may not be admired by all, most people would at least be curious to k ...

9 years ago+5 5 0Playing Diplomacy together - When should we start?
So, a few days ago we were thinking of creating sessions of the Diplomacy game online so we could all play.
We have now got a lot more new members in the tribe, so I assume some more people will want to join. Therefore we could do different teams of 7 people if that is the case.
In Team A we have:
/u/cheesemangeur
/u/drunkenninja
/u/caelreth
/u/splitfish
/u/ressmox
/u/bogdan
/u/tehdiplomat (played it before)Team B:
/u/manix (possibly)
/u/PrismDragonWe should also be thinking of when we should start playing. Shall we say next Sunday, the 12th? That leaves us a week to look into the rules and organise ourselves.
We'll be using Gamesbyemail to play
/u/tehdiplomat: The GamesByEmail implementation has an interactive Judger where you can test move scenarios while everyone is reading the rules, to see exactly what happens in certain situations. Sometimes it's easier to see what's going on when you are able to poke around at a move list. http://gamesbyemail.com/Games/Politics/Judge

Fellow snapzites, would you like to talk about your tribes to all these new users?
New users, have you created a new tribe and would you like to let everyone else know?
Let's do a megathread and have everything here!
Reminder: If you have a new tribe, you can also advertise it on /t/newtribes
Personally I would like to promote my two tribes:
/t/languagecafe is a place for people who want to have chats/conversations in a language other than English. It can be for native, intermediate, fluent, beginners. The point is to practice and chat! I'm hoping that with more people joining we will be able to cover more languages and have interesting conversations.
/t/boardgames is a place to talk about board games, share reviews about games you like and really just anything that is related to the fun of board games!
Tip: If you want to link directly to your tribe, just type / t / nameoftribe (but remove all the spaces) and it will link automatically.
