Their purpose is propaganda, though. They're not there to circlejerk, they want to send their message. Reddit is much better suited for that than an unknown board.

I've said it before, while I do feel there are a lot of genuine supporters of Trump on there, I also think something suspicious is going on. A right wing counter-CTR, perhaps. This US election kinda proved to me that no conspiracy theory connected to money and politics is too crazy.

I'm pretty sure the community shapes the behavior of the new users. I've been here since a previous Reddit exodus and I'm really enjoying the atmosphere. Probably most people who are going to come (if there really are gonna be new people) won't be causing that much trouble. Just welcome them with a positive attitude and they'll do fine.

I don't like Trump but I see this as a slap to those politicians who underestimated the voice of the people.

The corrupt DNC who believed they can control the masses and live on their high horse just got a serious smack down.

Maybe now they'll take into account what happens when you rig the contest towards the weaker candidate.

At this point, MacOS offers little if any functionality over Ubuntu and you can get a fancy regular laptop at half the price of a MacBook. Unless you want to be snobbish I really don't see a purpose in buying a Mac...

I kept hearing Wikileaks is working like a GOP machine.

If Wikileaks were to release e-mails with even more evident proof once Hillary is elected, that would show that they weren't trying to influence the campaign, but merely exposing the corruption.

One does have to wonder, who the hell is going to care as much past this day?

This is a general gripe I have with the idea of "internet of things". Sure, we can tie everything to computers and the internet now, but do we really want to? Is this really needed? No, and it shouldn't be.

In my opinion, although this would create a precedent and is something very much up for debate, there should be two kinds of internet. One that we know and cherish where anyone is able to roam anonymously, and an internet with high security where one can only log with his ID information and every single action he performs is tracked and readily available to anyone, anywhere, at any time. This latter internet could be used for voting and connecting electronic devices to it.

Turkey has just now taken ahold of (arrested) the entire leadership of the Kurdish party. More than 13% of the people have voted for them. Unless these people decide to get organized and protest the abuse, I'm afraid the Middle East is in for a new warring force.

I am more amazed by the fact that NATO does not release any statement regarding this. How is a member state allowed to act so recklessly?

Sometimes, given the scale of the universe, I like to imagine it sees humans like bacteria, who are now learning to travel from one organism to another (planets), infecting them with the virus of life.

Other times I just like to think that this whole universe is just energy evolving and propagating itself forward however it can. Today some of that energy is keeping me alive, tomorrow it will probably be part of something else entirely.

Regardless, we're so much less important than some of the members of our species like to believe.

They're both crap choices. The fact that the United States still forces a two-party option down the throat of its people (3rd parties aren't even taken into account in most polls) is something which should seriously addressed after this election, in my opinion.

It is true that we've seen Hillary talk more like a warmongering freak, but given Trump's volatility when it comes to changing his mind, it's hard making a fair comparison.

Regardless of who this man is, the message does not come from him. The message is extremely concerning.

Edit: I'm not from the US nor do I really care about the elections, but seeing this video would definitely make me not wanna vote for Hillary.
