Alleged spy balloon, but probably just a weatherballoon. Btw, a country that spends over 800 billion dollars a year (and probably way more, because all kinds of covert agencies and operations) that shits its' pants because of a balloon? Killing millions of people throughout the decades and gets scared over a fucking balloon with solarpanels. Yup, this sounds very much like opportunistic media and politicians to frame China as a bad actor, probably to justify even more dollars on violence and imperialistic behaviour. All the while when their own people are going hungry, homeless or bankrupt over medical bills. How sad of an excuse for a third world country are you, USA?
