Name one thing you are 100% positive you would NEVER try?

So a friend o'mine was telling me that next week hes taking his wife skydiving and that they are both excited about their first time. I talked about it for a while and realized that I would never in a million years that a risk like that. Temping fate isn't my thing, and I respect life far too much!

What's something you would never agree to doing?

There goes my acrophobia. You can rock me to sleep tonight, thank you!

I'm with you on that one! What is he doing exactly? Is he just climbing it for the sake of climbing or is that a job of some sort?

I think this particular video was for a guy who was climbing the tower of a wind turbine. Some clever SOB turned it into a perfectly looping gif.

I could never handle spiders let alone stick my hand in a confined space where they congregate. I can't stand spiders.

I was half expecting that image to be a gif and the spider to explode into millions of little spiders. Glad I was wrong :D

Spiders are so cool though. These ones grow to be about 2cm long... if that. They used to grow in the trees around my house when I was growing up, my brother and I used to let them explore our hands before we put them back. Even something like this is fine to hold. As long as you don't stress or try to harm it, it will not harm you.

How do you know it wont harm you? Spiders aren't exactly the best judges of character let alone intention to harm :D

That's a fair point. I choose to believe that if I'm calm and gentle then as far as the spider (or really any creature that I hold) will not see my hand as a threat but rather as a piece of landscape to traverse. Remember how when you were young the world seemed so large, not in a metaphorical sense but in a literal sense. The chairs were bigger, the bench was higher, your parents hands were huge. Imagine that from the sense of an insect. Not only would everything human be incomprehensibly gigantic, it would be indiscernible from an ordinary non-human object. As far as I choose to believe, the spiders and all insects have no concept of humans as anything more than gigantic sometime moving objects therefore they would have no reason to feel threatened except for cases of 'Holy shit, this thing is trying to squish me. I need to defend myself'.

Of course if you have something on your hands that react chemically with the spider in a way acid reacts to our skin, then it will be a different story. Although in this case it is still only what threatens the insect.

Wow you really like spiders huh? Do u own one as a pet?

Because they have more than one defense. They are fast as shit which works as a good defense by itself. They also have hairs that they flick off of their abdomen that make you itch. Biting is really a last result as it makes them lose venom which takes days to regenerate.

Why not? I am a proud owner of 7 tarantulas. I handle them sometimes. They don't really care about anything and don't bite. I mean some of them do, but they can't hurt you. Any that you would encounter in the states would be extremely difficult to get to bite you.

I'm not a fan of tight places, I guess I can safely say that I have mild claustrophobia. This leads me to be 100% sure that I will never cave dive, ever. I can just picture it now... tight places, pitch black and only the air tank on my back keeping me alive. Forget monsters under the bed, this is the ultimate nightmare for me.

I've tried skydiving (asked for it as a present to my birthday a few years ago). Can't say I will never do this again.

What I would never try? Hard drugs, like cocaine. BDSM (and many other kinks). Hate forums on the internet, and hate groups in real life. Fugu fish.

Sometimes, in the heat of the moment, it's forgivable to go ass to mouth.

Watching horror movies (well I've watched a few like years and years ago) but I will determinedly never watch one again. Like, I don't see the appeal. Pay money to scare myself and then be unable to sleep well for the next week? No thanks haha.

Holy shit, I'm totally the opposite. I once payed to watch The Ring... had nightmares and couldn't sleep for 3 days... worth every penny.

That was the first movie that I watched that truly scared me. I was scared for days. Now it just seems more creepy than scary, in a good way (those video tapes are great). I'm a big fan of scary/horror movies and I haven't watched anything in years that has truly scared me. Most of them feel like a roller coaster to me. A cheap 'thrill' but nothing scary.
