I met it over 10 years ago and I really like it. I've heard people eat it raw,but I sure won't.
It's not bad raw as one of several greens in a salad, or on a sandwich. Really good cooked in a number of ways (southern-style greens, soups, etc.). Have you ever tried Kale chips? It's a decent alternative to more unhealthy snacks.
Too tough for me..I do like kale chips though.
I personally don't mind it either, the taste is alright, sort of a mix between cabbage and spinach or something. Texture is a bit tougher than I like but it gets better when its cooked. I personally have tried it in salads, soups, dried with spices, and a number of stir fries. Personally I think I like it best in a stir fry along with a number of other veggie ingredients.
