The Rise of Lonely, Single Men
Younger and middle-aged men are the loneliest they’ve ever been in generations, and it’s probably going to get worse. This is not my typical rosy view of relationships but a reality nonetheless. Over the last 30 years, men have become a larger portion of that growing group of long-term single people. And while you don’t actually need to be in a relationship to be happy, men typically are happier and healthier when partnered.

A plant-based diet is good for your wallet, not just your health
At a time when every dollar counts, many of us are changing the way we eat to save money. Take mother of three and Hong Kong resident Asher Chan, for instance. A lifelong vegetarian, she transitioned to veganism in the past year for a couple of reasons – one of which was the rising cost of milk and eggs. Now her family uses plant-based alternatives to these foods, which she says are more affordable.

The Future of Food
The lie was delicious. For years, Americans consumed their frothy, full-dairy cappuccinos, marbled meat and flaky fried chicken without worry. The food was cheap. The drive-throughs, abundant. And the supply seemed infinite — until it wasn’t.

$400 Million Liquidated Within 24 Hours As Bitcoin Surpasses $23,000
According to data, the crypto market has seen over $400 million in liquidations in the previous 24 hours as Bitcoin breaks above $23,000. A futures contract “liquidates” when losses mount and consume a predetermined portion of the initial margin or collateral (the precise amount depends on the derivatives exchange), forcing the exchange to close the position.

Antidepressants work, but just not how scientists thought they worked
Most clinical trials of antidepressants were done decades ago in people with severe depression recruited from specialist mental health services. Yet most people who take these drugs have mild to moderate depression. We wanted to know whether a common antidepressant called sertraline works for this group. We found that, indeed, it does work, but differently from how we expected.

How Heat Waves Are Messing Up Your Sleep
The downside of hot summer days are hot summer nights. When the temperature doesn’t drop below 20 degrees Celsius (68 degrees Fahrenheit) at night—as is currently the case in many parts of Europe and North America—we become restless. We toss and turn in bed for hours, find it difficult to fall asleep, and feel groggy the next day. Sound familiar?

Cannabidiol (CBD) and delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) are the two most prominent psychoactive substances found in the cannabis plant.
