I wish this were true, but I think in the long term, it's not sustainable. Simply ignoring is not enough. We need to work to create a culture where trolls, etc. don't get satisfaction from posting. While everyone ignoring them would be ideal, I don't think people will do it as the userbase grows. "Raging" or responding strongly isn't going to be successful either. I think the right thing to do is quickly, briefly call them out on their BS. "Your comment is inappropriate because BLANK." If we can somehow limit our responses to trolls to a single comment like that, I think there's a greater chance of delaying the onslaught of hostile comments.

The more I think about it, the more important I think this feature is. Removing comments from normal snaps isn't that important, but discussion-based posts in some tribes will be crippled if they can't be kept on-topic. This may not be much of a concern now, but as the userbase continues to grow, there will undoubtedly be issues that require chiefs/mods to step in in the comments section.

I totally agree. Even if it's not a full-fledged "wiki" system, having a simple html tribe page that chiefs or chiefs+mods (with chiefs' permissions) can edit would be really great.

Also more custom modules than just the rules on the sidebar...

Windows and Linux for sure, and I'm pretty sure they have an OS X version too.

The "Core" basically runs on a server and connects to your IRC networks and channels, and then your client connects to your Core server and syncs chat. While your client is closed or your computer is off/sleeping, you usually appear away, but the core stores all chat in your joined channels. When you open up your client again, your user experience is the same as any IRC client, but you get scrollback for however many lines you set (I think I have around 10,000).

The only issue with the core is that IRC has such heavy disk I/O that it can slow down your server if you're not careful (I'm joined to about 30 very active channels though). Also many server hosts specifically forbid IRC-related servers for that reason.

Edit: there's also an Android client as well, which is pretty nice.
