What are your weekend plans?
Tell us about your weekend plans here! :D
Mine are boring: dogsitting for my brother and wife while they go to a craft beer festival and working on some UI / UX stuff as as well as my portfolio. My dad is coming in to town which is exciting! But besides that, nothing....

Driving up about 260 km from the city to a secluded lake for some fishin. I'll be leaving this afternoon and wont be back until tomorrow evening. Finally got a little time to relax and recharge. Sunday we are doing final testing on the new servers, and if everything goes as planned we should be moving on Tuesday/Wednesday night.

Fishing sounds fun. Get pictures of the monsters you reel in!
I'll be sure to post a couple!
Need us to break, I mean test anything while you're gone :)
Pretty busy weekend here!
Not sure what's on the agenda tonight, but I might try catching a showing of Ant Man!
Tomorrow night, I'm going to be attending an awards ceremony for one of my SO's coworkers.
Sunday is the main event, though. Bernie Sanders is going to be holding a rally in my area. I'm planning on getting there early since it's a first-come-first-serve type of thing!
I'll always upvote a Bernie Sanders comment. Tell him the internet loves him
I'm pretty excited! It's rare that presidential candidates pay much attention to Louisiana. I mean, our own governor is one and we can barely get him to spend any time in the state...
That rally sounds like a lot of fun! I'm getting more interested in him as the time passes.
I've been learning how to make multiplayer games in HTML5 with socket.io, so I'll probably be plugging away on that. Then I might go to a play at a local theatre with some friends and I'll be getting together with some relatives to DM our first D&D 5e session!
Busy one. :P
Oh man, I've been trying to get into D&D. I have some friends that live a couple hours away that are interested, but at last it's hard to play when they are that far away. It sounds like fun though :)
There are lots of ways to play over a distance! MapTool + Skype, iTableTop, and I think there's an official WotC app too. Or you could join a play-by-post forum.
I will definitely have to check out those! Thanks for the suggestions! Sounds like a great way to slowly introduce the game since I have no idea what I would be doing lol.
There's also Roll20 which is free, or Tabletop Simulator if you're willing to pay. Both are great, and DnD is an excellent pastime. You don't even have to do medieval fantasy stuff if you don't want to, the DnD rules can be applied to stuff like Fallout, Star Wars, etc. Hope you like it!
Check out this comment that Wenjarich replied to me with when I queried him about where to start.

Let's see. Today i'm planning on a bike ride after work. Gonna be hot, like 90 degrees. Not looking forward to the weather, but looking forward to the exercise.
Tomorrow is the Buzz Beach Ball. We opted for VIP seating and snagged a hotel room across the street from the venue. So, free alcohol, free food, loud music, and assigned seats. After getting utterly hammered, me and the wife will stumble back to the hotel and crash there. Sadly, I don't know any of the bands, so bringing a book to read.
Sunday is recovery day! Dry myself out from Saturday debauchery, probably go for a run or perhaps some more biking, weather permitting.
That sounds like an awesome concert! I love Alt-J and you should definitely check them out.
That sounds like a lot of fun. Enjoy!
Leave this afternoon for a weekend in Saugatuck at the Belvedere Inn.
I hear Saugatuck is lovely. As a gay man, I feel slightly ashamed that I haven't been there yet. It's a summer mecca.
Well worth going. Some lovely shops, boat trip on the river, gorgeous beaches. Douglas across the river is a neat place as well.
Spending the weekend cleaning out my grandpa's garage. If I didn't know any better I would say hes a hoarder!
I don't have weekends in July. In fact, I just had to look at a calendar to realize that it was Friday. I did know that it was the 24th though.
When you only have 4-6 months to get in a full year's worth of construction, you tend to work a lot of hours and a lot of days.
However, come November-March, I get to work a really light schedule, so that makes it worth it. (the OT money helps too)
Tonight: potato couch
Tomorrow: yoga, then visiting the parents
Sunday: harryhandel (stocking up for the semester)
Travel to Germany to write and hopefully record some new music with my buddy there and of course drink a lot of German beer. Really looking forward to all of this!
Saturday we will be at "Woodstock 2015" - "Peace and music celebrating the event that defined a generation that changed the world"
A few photos from the event: http://snapzu.com/Traveler/laguna-woodstock-2015/
Tonight: Movie night in my garage-theater.
Tomorrow: Surprise birthdayday party for my step mom, followed by a LAN party.
Sunday: Hopefully nothing.
I'm going to spend the weekend with my best friend who is an ultrarunner at the Pandora 24 ultramarathon. I'm not an utrarunner myself, so I'll mostly hang out, encourage him, and run a few 10K loops if I can survive them. Even bought new trail running shoes this week. Fun!
Probably stay inside and watch some House of Cards. I'm halfway through Season 2, I must finish it! I also recently discovered digital comics, so that'll take up a while. And lastly, I have some art requests to get done, so I'll be doing those over the weekend.
Living the New York tourist life.
That was my answer last week!
To do as little as possible!
Well today after work I'm gonna start cleaning the house so that it can be presentable when my friends come over tonight. Tomorrow I'm going to go visit my mom and little brother for his ninth birthday and then I'll probably crash at a friends house if nothing else is going on over there. Sunday I'll drive back home, be lazy, then log onto World of Warcraft for raid night.
I'm doing some routine maintenance work on my Corvette, then I'm driving it to Las Vegas on Monday to play in the BCA pool tournament at the Rio. It's already going on, but I'm only playing in the team event. Most of my team is already there playing in the single's events.
Absolutely nothing and it is wonderful given every previous weekend has been booked full and the next few are as well. I think it may even be a pj weekend.
Working, gym and hopefully fucking
Might go see Trainwreck and grab a bite to eat with my girlfriend tomorrow. No real plans though.
My weekend will probably consist of tuning out life and getting absorbed in the wonderful region of Tamriel that I make my way through in some long sessions of Elder Scrolls Online. Probably cook some good food Saturday night for me and my Girlfriend.
I recently got regognized as Beer Judge, so this weekend will be my first officially judging beer. Should be pretty fun I think. Other then that i have a bunch of boring housecleaning to do. But first, beer.
The main event is mountain biking. I found a cool interactive website that shows ALL trails everywhere called www.trailforks.com and I have a route mapped out. Also, i'm in the middle of getting supplies together to build a chameleon cage. I have the plan all drawn out in sketchup so I'm ready to go. Front yard needs to be mowed, bathroom cleaned, laundry washed.
Spending more time with my dog getting to know the new city I moved to. Crossing fingers for the good weather that we had today so I can move from pub to pub drinking nice beers. Also, possibly a date tomorrow night?
I'll dedicate myself to anything Wakfu-related, including binge-watching the french anime-inspired animated series. It's pretty boring, but that's my kind of fun. Yeah I have friends, but hanging out too much with them drains me out, it's not like I hate them or anything, I just, sometimes I need my alone time more than my "necessary" interaction with friends.
