8 years ago+8 8 0[Feature] Improved mod-tools
I have a few requests for some mod tools. I just brought on two moderators to /t/newtribes as the tribe has a lot of activity. I noticed that the mod tools are quite empty. Here are a few requests
Direly needed -
Moderation logs. This is something that is extremely important. Without it, it makes taking on new moderators quite a risk.
Ability to reverse moderator removals. Another very import feature that is needed for obvious reasons
Other requested features
Mod badges/ mod flairs. Isn't the first time I've suggested this, but its really important. Being able to distinguish people speaking officially as a moderator would help immensely
Ability to limit moderator privileges. For example, I don't want any of my moderators to be able to change my tribe's rules.
Mod chat/board. I want ways to be able to communicate with my moderators without having to send them individual PMs.
Easy way to moderate comment sections. Right now there is understandably no way to moderate comments on snaps. I know that you are currently developing that system. In the meantime, it would be great to have something that would make it easy to report rule-breaking comments to the admins. Our only other option right now is to either keep the rule-breaking content or remove the entire post. Neither are good options.

8 years ago+62 62 0A look at the numbers
I did this last influx of new members (FPH drama), but I want to do it again.
This is from this weeks "Snapzu Digest", a weekly email you should be getting (you can unsubscribe if you like).
"This week our community has welcomed 3414 new members, posted 2323 snaps, and took part in 8308 discussions."
3414 new members. Let's compare that to other weeks.
Last week - 386 new members Week before that - 309 new members FPH Drama - 662 new members Week before that - 57 new members Week before that - 84 new members
That is a 10x increase from last week. 5x larger than the FPH influx, and a 60x increase from the week prior to that drama.

8 years ago+11 11 0[Feature] When creating a snap, have a way to quickly check rules when adding the snap to tribes
Right now, the only way to make sure that you are adding your snap to the right tribe is to either post then check or to open up the tribe in a different window. This puts unnecessary extra work / guesswork into creating a snap. It would be nice if when we however over the tribe name or clicked a small button saying "Rules" a window would come up with that tribes rules. My tribe would be really helped by this as well, as many people don't know that /t/newtribes doesn't allow meta-discussion of tribes (e.g. "Whats your favorite tribe?") and I'm spending most of my moderation time removing those.

8 years ago+21 21 0Let's discuss ways to get new members from places besides reddit.
Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against redditors joining the site. I'm still an active redditor (though admittedly less and less). However, I think we need to start spreading our wings. Currently, we have been really only been getting new members from reddit exoduses or random mentions in /r/askreddit. I'm scared that if we keep relying on redditors looking for a new site, we won't continue to have our own unique culture, we will just have a transplant of reddit culture. So how can we encourage people to join who aren't from reddit?
