Do labels have to show ingredients in Canada? I wonder how many people will still want the sauces when they can see the amount of fat and sugar (I'm assuming from the taste that there's a lot of both).

Yep, labels all show the contents. I guess people really want to make their own big macs.

It is hard to believe, isn't it? I found the list of ingredients for Big Mac sauce online:

Ingredients: Soybean Oil, Pickle Relish (Diced Pickles, High Fructose Corn Syrup, Sugar, Vinegar, Corn Syrup, Salt, Calcium Chloride, Xanthan Gum, Potassium Sorbate [Preservative], Spice Extractives, Polysorbate 80), Distilled Vinegar, Water, Egg Yolks, Onion Powder, Spices, Salt, Propylene Glycol Alginate, Sodium Benzoate (Preservative), Mustard Bran, Sugar, Garlic Powder, Vegetable Protein (Hydrolyzed Corn, Soy and Wheat), Caramel Color, Extractives of Paprika, Soy Lecithin, Turmeric (Color), Calcium Disodium EDTA (Protect Flavor).

I guess people with soy allergies shouldn't be eating at McDonalds.

And they use the cheapest, unhealthiest crap they can find to go in it. Diabetics are not going to do so well either eating this garbage.

I'm always impressed by the number of synonyms of "sugar" they use to make it look like it's not the main ingredient. So far I've seen sugar, sucrose, corn syrup, high fructose corn syrup, dextrose, invert sugar, evaporated cane juice, fructose, glucose (plus all the other monosaccharides and disaccharides), molasses, honey, etc. I'm sure there are more I haven't seen because I try to avoid junk food.

As am I. Evaporated cane syrup is yet another one. But yeah, they work really hard to deceive us,don't they. The same goes for all the garbage in the middle sections of the grocery. Yuck!
