Sex Education in Europe Turns to Urging More Births
Twenty-five Danish 13- and 14-year-olds gathered in a circle to talk about sex. This was going to be awkward. One student surveyed her red nails while a classmate checked his cellphone. When the discussion turned to masturbation, a girl pointed across the room toward a boy who was already chortling, and then she started to cover her own giggles by cupping a hand over her mouth. “It’s O.K. to laugh,” said the instructor, 29-year-old Andreas Beck Kronborg...

What If We Admitted to Children That Sex Is About Pleasure?
A couple of months ago, the sex education notice came home in my nine-year-old son’s backpack. I didn’t realize that, in our district, sex ed starts in the fourth grade. Another sign of the state having more access to my baby than I sometimes wish.

I Sat In on My Son’s Sex-Ed Class, and I Was Shocked by What I Heard
Until yesterday, I only ever found out what happened in my son’s sex-ed classes by asking him about it. That was painful enough. In elementary school, he apparently learned that HIV is hereditary because you get it from your mother. In middle school, he had to help the teacher explain something about sex anatomy when the teacher was stumped and my son happened to know the facts.

Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson on Wednesday called for changes to a religious objection measure facing a backlash from businesses and gay rights groups, saying it wasn't intended to sanction discrimination based on sexual orientation. Religion, Same-Sex Relationships and Politics in Indiana and Arkansas
Gallup: The results show a very strong and generally linear relationship between these two variables. The percentage of Americans saying that gay or lesbian relationships are morally unacceptable is nearly at the two-thirds level -- 65% -- among those who attend church weekly. 19 states that have ‘religious freedom’ laws like Indiana’s that no one is boycotting
Indiana has come under fire for a bill signed Thursday by Gov. Mike Pence (R) that would allow businesses to refuse service for religious reasons. The NCAA has voiced its concern ahead of Final Four in Indianapolis next week, there are calls to boycott the state, and Miley Cyrus has even weighed in, calling Pence a name that we can't reprint on this family Web site in an Instagram post.

A Pagan Lawyer’s Take on Indiana’s “Religious Right to Discriminate Law”
"To characterize this as a conflict between the religious liberties of some and the civil rights of others is misleading. It is actually a conflict between the comfort level of those with certain religious sensibilities and the civil rights of a historically marginalized and victimized minority. And in that balancing test, there is no question that, in the marketplace or any other public sphere, your civil rights should trump my sense of discomfort."
