Commented in Why are you ignoring us? #StopDrivingCar

It's an honorable goal, but that's not the tone you want to take to ask people for donations.

I understand that with your non-primary language it may be difficult to portray tone.

    Here's a TL;DR with my interpretation.

We need to stop driving cars in order to save the planet. -- Good. I agree. I understand the reason you have a desperate tone.

If you live somewhere with bad public transportation, move to somewhere with good public transportation. -- That's easy to say on paper, but isn't realistic.

We quit our jobs to do this full time and nobody has given us any money! -- As far as I can tell from your Patreon, you are going to use the money to basically spread awareness. How? Are you going to hire a PR specialist? Are you going to advertise on TV, Radio, Websites? Are you going to just maintain a website and sit on the rest of the money? You need to have a tangible plan once you reach certain goals, or nobody will give you any money. Why don't you take the time to do a little bit of research on what you can do with certain amounts of money. Say you reach $100 a month. That's not much, but you can maintain your website plus do some minor web advertising. At $500 per month you could do X. At $5000 per month you could hire someone to help. At $10,000 per month you could start to think about purchasing a bus and hiring a driver in a location near you to add revenue. Once you have a separate reliable revenue stream you could rely less on the Patreon patrons and use the Patreon money to do more.

Cars are bad. Electric cars suck too! -- Another point where I could agree with you, but you are condescending. I recommend you go to Fiverr and pay someone a small amount to do the writing for you. Good writing is very important if you want to be successful.

I can't believe people are still ignoring us! You are scum! Stop being irrational assholes! -- GET SOMEONE ELSE TO WRITE FOR YOU!!!

Commented in 'To Kill a Mockingbird' Named America's Best-Loved Novel in PBS Survey

When was this six month survey? I don't recall seeing it available? I know that PBS' primary demographic is either children under 10 or adults over 55. So if this survey was taken from these numbers, I believe that represents these demographics well. What would the best loved novel for the 10-55 age group be though?

My top 5: Foundation (1-3), Red Mars (1-3), Hyperion (1-4), Dune (1), and Flowers for Algernon.

It must depend on the work environment. I work in a non-competetive work environment and I feel like this doesn't apply to me.

Very well written. I like how hopeful the tone of the article is regarding cooperation. I am reading part 2/9 next, but I also have to get back to work. I'll link part 2 to related links.

I only 'fall' for the pizza one.

Most of these are solved by being cheap!

    1. don't drink anything but water.

    2. don't get pasta, pizza, seafood, or dessert.

If one were to rewrite US law 'Justinian style' how would you start?

By Justinian style, I mean that he did not reform the existing law system.

I'm pretty sure you would have to start with a new Constitution. Where would you go from there? I guess it depends on what you write into your Constitution.

Is it even a topic worth considering?

So my older dog is presumed dead...

She's the one from the porcupine pictures in my post history.

My wife and I have been thinking of her a lot lately and thought I would let this be a place for other people to reminisce about their dogs.

For example, she loves(loved) to give kisses on the face. When she was young I started saying "Go for the jugular!" every time she would try to kiss someone's face. After a while, "Go for the jugular!" became the command for kissing someone's face. My younger (dumber) dog never caught on to this, even though she also tries to kiss your face at any opportunity.

Let's have this avenue for discussing the Panama Papers

In case you haven't heard, there was a HUGE information leak from a Panamanian law firm that specializes in setting up shell companies that may or may not be used for tax evasion purposes, money laundering, funding terrorism, human trafficking, and all sorts of bad stuff.

So far there have been a lot of big names that are implicated by this and the list will keep growing. There are over 11 MILLION documents for journalists to go through!

I'll keep checking back here periodically to get new information and let you guys know if I learn any new information.

Also, for some reason, there is almost zero coverage of this in American media for some reason...

Option for tribe chiefs and moderators to add their tribes to a snap

I've noticed that when people snap a link, often one of the top comments will be "Can you add this to the /t/_______________?"

If it was possible for a tribe chief or moderator to do this themselves without re-snapping the content, I think that would focus discussion on the topic itself.

Let me know what you think!
