FDL: Frozen Debris Lobes

FDL: Frozen Debris Lobes are slow-moving landslides occurring in permafrost made up of soil, rocks, trees, and ice. They are encroaching on both the Dalton Highway and the Trans-Alaska Pipeline. Efforts are underway to determine the best way to deal with the problem. The current favorite is the 'run away' solution. ANY solution involves lots of $$$.
