In /t/DID there's a pic on the right that has many different faces printed on balloons - representative of the common perceptions of the condition.
While I do not personally know anyone with DID, some think it manifests in victims of severe and sustained trauma as a coping mechanism. Since DID sufferers would likely have experienced some form of PTSD, there is an increased likelihood of readers having psychological triggers - the real kind, not the "someone disagreed with me on Tumblr" variety.
So... what is DID? Pardon my ignorance.
Dissociative Identity Disorder, judging from the pic and the request for trigger warnings where appropriate.
Which pic? What trigger warnings? I'm confused. Thanks for clearing up the acronym for me, though.

Thank you for taking the time to explain this to me. I appreciate it.
It is estimated that 1 in 10,000 people have DID. Yet, if you go on Tumblr it seems like 1 in 3.
I find it fascinating. Are you saying that Tumblr is exaggerating regarding this matter?
Yeah, Unless people with DID love tumblr for some reason. I can't stand it.
Do you feel uncomfortable talking about it, would you be okay if I asked you about it? The curiosity just got the best of me.
