I've been here for a couple of weeks, hardly old, but now accustomed to the atmosphere. I came when /r/fatpeoplehate was banned without warning. I had never been on that subreddit, but I knew then that the new admins do not plan to discuss their future actions with the average user, and that was a big problem for me.

When I came here I was somehow expecting the massive population of new people to establish a new order, and I was ready for it. But it didn't happen.

The new people that stayed actually tried to learn from what the old ones had done and grow into the shape that Snapzu had already taken.

I am not worried that the new users will change Snapzu. I'm sure there is plenty of room for everyone, as long as there is understanding, maturity and a will to do good unto others.

I can do a take on some of the old peeps here and tell you how I feel about them in a short description, if anyone is interested.

One thing that I find odd, and great, is the lack of downvotes. It's really amazing to see genuine disagreement on things without having to be disagreeable. Maybe there's something to this system.

I haven't even downvoted anything yet! (And it's not me being me because I've downvoted plenty on reddit.) It has something to do with how people speak to each other, I think. It's hard to angerily downvote someone who's being nice.

Are you referring to the fact that the community itself doesn't brigade downvotes?

and in general when people are discussing something. On reddit if you argue something with someone you will likely be downvoted for disagreeing with that person. Like we could be talking about censorship and the person I'm arguing against is downvoting me(a form of censorship).

        That would be refreshing indeed.
