    One thing that I find odd, and great, is the lack of downvotes. It's really amazing to see genuine disagreement on things without having to be disagreeable. Maybe there's something to this system.

      I haven't even downvoted anything yet! (And it's not me being me because I've downvoted plenty on reddit.) It has something to do with how people speak to each other, I think. It's hard to angerily downvote someone who's being nice.

      Are you referring to the fact that the community itself doesn't brigade downvotes?

        and in general when people are discussing something. On reddit if you argue something with someone you will likely be downvoted for disagreeing with that person. Like we could be talking about censorship and the person I'm arguing against is downvoting me(a form of censorship).
