The constitutional right to free speech doesn't protect you from the consequences of that speech, it only assures you are not jailed for it. If you're a dick, the community has a right to remove you, just like I have a right to remove you from a party at my place if you say insulting things to people, or act like a penis, or puke on someone, or for whatever reason or non-reason I deem appropriate. This place has rules to assure people aren't being dicks, it's as good as it gets.
Hey, man. I don't think it's cool that people are downvoting you if they disagree with your opinion, but I also don't think it's cool if you're here just to stir things up.
We take pride in this community, and you know that, so is the reaction to your prediction surprising at all? You've said what you have to say, so let's leave it at that.
I think it's a little early to start writing out death certificates for the site.
You cannot limit our constitution right to free speech and expect to live.
Two things: the constitutional right to free speech is only a guarantee that the government can't censor your speech, it is not binding in private entities like reddit or snapzu. The other thing is that the admins here have expressed their dedication to maintaining a safe and civil environment for conversation. Apparently people have already tried to bring fatpeoplehate here and were shut down. So if you're expecting snapzu to be a conversational free-for-all where anything goes without restriction, you're going to be disappointed.
already tried to bring fatpeoplehate here and were shut down
Excellent. Not gonna lie, I kind of started this thread because I wanted to see if the majority of people coming here from reddit were the off-the-wall hateful types that got their subs banned. If those types are getting shut down, then I have a much larger chance of sticking around.
