Employees at a Federal Way Denny’s are no longer employed at the restaurant after the chain investigated an allegedly racist incident that occurred there on Wednesday. Facebook user Palmer Pellham posted on Thursday about the incident witnessed by he and his wife. The previous evening at about 10 p.m., he and his wife Esther, who are apparently white, were at nearly empty restaurant for a meal.

Just announced: Applebee’s is closing up to 135 restaurants

McDonald's shares hit an all-time high on Tuesday as Wall Street expects sales to increase from new digital ordering kiosks that will replace cashiers in 2,500 restaurants. Cowen raised its rating on McDonald's shares to outperform from market perform because of the technology upgrades, which are slated for the fast-food chain's restaurants this year. McDonald's shares rallied 26 percent this year through Monday compared to the S&P 500's 10 percent return.

Man robs Chipotle, gets only a burrito, Iowa police say
A robber attempted to take money from a Chipotle Mexican Grill but fled with only a burrito, according to a police report. A man entered the restaurant at about 6:30 p.m. CT Wednesday in suburban Des Moines. He got in line and ordered a burrito, a female cashier told police. When the man approached the cash register, he said he had a gun in his sweatshirt, opened a bag and demanded the cashier put money in it, according to the report.
