    Ice tea with no sugar.

eek! had some this weekend at some family's house. Was probably the single most terrible thing in liquid form. disappointment in a glass. Add some sugar, y'all! ;)

Used to go over to my cousin's house all the time growing up and his dad would make kool-ade without sugar. Like, no sweetener at all. Why? "you boys drink it all up" he'd drawl around his lucky strike. Can't count the number of times I've went over, poured myself a glass of sweet cherry kool-ade only to get a face full of bitter red liquid instead.

edit: apparently, I share a site with wonderful, intelligent folks whom happen to enjoy disappointment in liquid form. No worries, I think you rock anyway.

Having drunk a fair bit of both sweet and unsweet tea... the former might as well be just sugar water. You can't taste the tea in sweet tea, really. You just taste the sugar.

For me, it would probably be Pineapple Juice. Love the stuff. Could drink gallons a day if I didn't have to count every goddamned calorie.

Is it good to drink a lot of it? Doesn't it tear up your system after a while?

Not that I'm aware of, no. No detrimental effects other than a caloric overload and... well... "tastier happy bits", I suppose. Not really a downside, I suppose.

Pepsi. I am super addicted. Been replacing it with smoothies though. Usually mix two of these: Strawberries, Banana, blueberries, raspberries with Greek Yogurt and a touch of raw honey if I want it sweeter and a bit of ice. Great for the morning...

Still not as good as Pepsi.

WTB Healthy drink that tastes exactly the same as Pepsi. PST Price

Side note: Now I want Pepsi q.q

There's a city called Placerville nearby that is known for their apples. If you go up to Apple Hill during apple season, several of the stores give away free fresh cider and it is amazing!

I'm a bit fanatical about coffee. I try not to be snobby about it, and can find a way to enjoy a maxwell house auto-drip, but to me, coffee is like wine: distinct regions, specific farms, varieties, blends, seasons, crop years, etc. I buy raw coffee and roast it at home. I have a dozen different brewing devices from espresso to siphon filter to just pouring hot water over coffee grounds in a mug. It's science, art, biology, economics, and passion in a cup. It's a hobby that takes relatively little time and one that I'm able to enjoy every day (unlike my many other hobbies)

    Milk.

Only whole milk. None of this white water swill they call 2% milk. More like 2% crap.

Indeed. Our milk is colour coded - red bottle cap for skimmed ie minimal fat, green for semi-skimmed (2%) and blue for full cream (4%). There is a purple one as well which may be for sterilised milk. All the others are, of course, pasteurised.

So; red milk - bleargh, green milk - yuck but blue milk is delish. :)

Just had a fresh ginger, apple and carrot juice today- very, very tasty. Otherwise it's milk, fresh coffee or Irish breakfast tea.

Interesting combo. Otherwise how about fresh tea, Irish coffee and breakfast milk? OK being silly - if I'm not drinking milk I'm drinking water, except in the morning when I have three or four mugs of properly heated full cream milk with instant coffee + guarana extract and demerara sugar. Not that I'm fussy or anything. :)

Japanese melon soda. Tastes like heaven, though not at all like melon. It's a pain in the rear to find a place to buy it in the US without resorting to importing from eBay sellers, which is ridiculously expensive, but luckily I found a place to order melon kakigouri (shaved ice) syrup, so I just make my own with the syrup and carbonated water now.

Sencha Mobata, a japanese green tea. There's a Camelia Sinensis shop close to where I work, so this is great :).

I really like an Arnold Palmer. It's half lemonade, half iced tea. My favorite though would have to be a good rootbeer.

Lacroix carbonated water, particularly the grapefruit flavor. No sugar, just water, mild flavor and bubbles. Super refreshing, but with that carbonated bite of soda. Great mixed with fruit juices too.

Oshikundu: a naturally fermented drink made of a mixture of sorghum and pearl millet. It is super refreshing on a hot day and with a bit of sugar it is delicious.

Jones Soda - I love all the flavors, but crushed melon and peanut butter and jelly are my two favorites. It feels like drinking candy.
