Ever since I learned that accuweather and weatherunderground and the likes just take NOAA data and repackage it, with the extra incentive to exaggerate or for any reason alter predictions, I decided to just get the data from the source: weather.gov.

I also love the discussion and details around their predictions. Example for today:

.SYNOPSIS....HIGH PRESSURE ALOFT WILL AGAIN RESULT IN WARM TO VERY WARM TEMPERATURES ACROSS THE REGION TODAY. A COOLING TREND IS THEN FORECAST FROM TUESDAY THROUGH FRIDAY AS A SERIES OF UPPER LEVEL SYSTEMS APPROACH THE WEST COAST. CHANCES FOR WIDESPREAD PRECIPITATION INCREASE LATE IN THE WEEK BEFORE DIMINISHING INTO THE UPCOMING WEEKEND.

There's also a decent Android app that uses NOAA data.

Am I the only one still so hopelessly optimistic to think that this could be an opportunity for a moderate dem-republican alliance? The Freedom Caucus has effectively made a 3 party system out of the house to where they have less in common with republicans than republicans with dems.

Besides Facebook's misguided attempt to prevent fake names, "avatar" is a generic word that shouldn't be associated with any copyrighted work just because it got popular.

The reasons aren't obvious. Even a thoroughly and properly vetted individual might have still leaked information after seeing the crimes being committed by the US Government. Only if Snowden had some criminal past or ties to foreign governments that were overlooked would there be obvious responsibility on the part of USIS.
