When a site like the NYTimes uses cookies to track how many free articles I've browser, private browsing resets those counters to zero every time I restart the browser.
Yep, I definitely use it to bypass silly limits, and general "tracking". I also use incognito when I do research on gifts or other things I wouldn't want people to know about.
To be honest, only when I'm in the mood to view gore, or when I'm searching Erowid/Bluelight for information. I don't really hide my internet habits, but some things I just don't want snooping friends and relatives to stumble upon.

You mean the option that's like your browser saying: "please pretend you don't know who I am"?
If you want to browse privately the incognito feature is not going to cut it.
I kinda gave up on that. My lady doesn't mind me browsing porn anyway.
