Why not a three bedroom, or a one bedroom?

In the context of underemployment, basing the article on the cost of a luxury townhome or a three-bedroom apartment would be silly. It would take a measure of empathy to do it, but the article's meant so that the reader might try to put themself in someone else's shoes. Maybe relate to what a small family might need to live somewhere. The two-bedroom unit's probably more like that than a hammock on a public beach, right? Nobody's asking you to pay for it. They're asking you to consider it.

Average income in U.S is approx $45,000. Average rent for two bedroom apt approx $14-15000.

I think a careful reading of the piece may show that it's concerned with folks with less than the median annual income. You know, half of people.

You confuse "average", (as I stated), for "median". The median wage ,U.S., would be approx $10,000 more than average. The median cost of two bedroom apts. would promote availability of average cost rent.

Yes, you did say ‘average.’ And yes, I did say ‘median.’ Fortunately, though, I am not in fact confused. That difference you mentioned, by the by, turns out to’ve been ~$1,800 in 2011.

You're the typical "If I say it with enough conviction, people will believe it" type.

Yes, that is a government website.

From the graph on that page, the gap is widening.

Median "household"income U.S. was indeed approx $53-54,000, 2014. Per Capita, income is not applicable.

I find it hard to believe it's almost doubled in a year. Source? Oh, I forgot, you don't provide sources.

2014 Census ACS data. What's it matter to you? You'll obviously trot out anything......."Family" median income was $64,000.

Perhaps a link to a source which you always seem to lack? Anyone can trot out anything without a link to the data. Yes, truth and accuracy matter to me. Prove it by a link to the data. Not difficult if it's true?

In this case you represent your figures as true, knowing they were/are false, based on Per Capita. If "truth and accuracy matter" admit it. Don't stonewall and ask for "source(s)" already provided. Your disingenuity and Addy's deserve nothing.

Disingenuity? I already lost sight of any point to this, before accusations like that. If there ever was any point.

Chalking this all up to what happens when you mistakenly answer someone's rhetorical question. Makes some folks cranky. Folks that were cranky beforehand especially.

Still on that "per capita" kick I see. "Household" would be more representative of renters than individuals who may be married or still dependents, or of the many semi-retired. The source was provided.

Nope, you need to learn to read. "Median "household"income U.S. was indeed approx $53-54,000, 2014. Per Capita, income is not applicable......"Except you are quoting Per Capita, I am quoting household. Try, to use applicable stats,....next time." Two previous quotes/comments to which you directly responded.

Maybe you missed the point: there isn't one state where someone working a full-time minimum-wage job can afford a 1-bedroom apartment.
