Commented in Destroying Gaza’s Health Care System Is a War Crime
Most things done to the Palestine people the past 76 years by Israel are warcrimes. And not just Israel, the countries that support Israel with politics, money and weaponry are guilty also. It's Zionism, not Judaism, which is at the base of all of these atrocities. And a large dose of colonialism, not just by Zionists, but the countries that used their veto to start all this in 1948, read USA, GB, France and Germany. They all wanted to "get rid of the Jews" way before the second world war and saw this as their chance to do it "legally", with the extra prize of political and military influence over the region. But, come on, let's all vote for these motherfuckers and criminals.

Commented in New French law will blanket parking lots with solar panels
There is currently no law in France requiring solar panels to be built above most parking lots. However, France has set a goal to significantly increase its use of renewable energy, including solar power, in order to combat climate change. The French government has implemented a number of policies and initiatives aimed at promoting the development and use of renewable energy sources, such as tax incentives, grants, and subsidies. Additionally, there have been efforts to increase the installation of solar panels on residential and commercial buildings, as well as large-scale solar power projects.

Commented in Emmanuel Macron calls for creation of a ‘true European army’ to defend against Russia and the US
Yeah, right? This year, the U.S. is pouring two-thirds of its discretionary spending down the military rat hole. Why can't France? Oh, wait. France has hiked their 'defense' spending by more than forty percent, so they'll be ceremonially burning two percent of their GDP by 2025. Instead of the lousy 1.82% they're shredding now. Spendthrift frogs have so much to learn. Empire isn't free after all.

Commented in Australia’s mysterious nuclear fallout
I remember reading (a long time ago) that there were other suspects. France, possibly in conjunction with an undeclared power (Israel, Brazil, and South Africa were named), topped the list. Israel alone, Pakistan, and India were also suspects.

Commented in Why Germans Are Getting Fed Up with America
I'm an American and I've had it up to here with the U.S., Turkey, Israel, Saudi Arabia, the U.K., France and Qatar. War refugees, aka migrants, not so much.

Commented in Trump's warning to Kim Jong-un: make a deal or suffer same fate as Gaddafi
Wait. I was following the nonsense coming out of the Administration until this whopper. Didn't Qaddafi make a deal with the international community, throw open his country to a strict weapons inspection regime, and meaningfully renounce all forms of terrorism only to then be deposed and sodomized to death with knives? "Hillary's War," the press called it. Well, her and France's oil giant Total, anyway. Who could've known that wouldn't go well? Kind of sends mixed messages Best Korea's way, doesn't it? Same thing, different day.

He owes his sacking to his "direct, honest and professional personality," which he acquired while training in France's hospitality industry.

The last time anything dropped this fast in France was the blade of a guillotine.

Commented in In 1939, I didn’t hear war coming. Now its thundering approach can’t be ignored
Not falling for the attempts to divide people is the first thing that comes to mind. Politicians and warmongers thrive on that, it is the very reason they excist. How would I do that? By not not believing a word that comes from their mouths. Not even a syllable. And disprove all the claims those hateful people make, but also proof that "the other side" also thrives on the exact same division: it gives the opportunity to the opposite. That way it gives them a reason to excist also. From a politician's point of view there is a big need for all of this.
With demonstrations you won't get far, so it seems. How long were the strikes in France? They stopped right after the drama in Nice, wasn't it? And the attacks in Paris? Comes in pretty handy, not even two weeks before a big climateconference where they'd expect tens of thousands of protestors (and rioters). I am not saying the attacks are related to other events, not at all, but it gave politicians the opportunity to silence a big part of the people. Plus some very nice opportunities to blame whatever they did wrong themselves on everything else but themselves.
Ahh, yeah. Counting money. :-)

Commented in Erdogan says Germany is 'committing suicide'
Here in Belgium he was also not allowed to give speeches a few months back. Which is how it should be, I think.
So, to be on the same line, Germany has to follow suit or else it will not show any unity with Europe, which will be against their own politics. That's how Germany can keep quite some territory under control (together with France).
Edit (after some thinking): My guess is that Erdogan wants to get a firm control over Europe, but he clearly forgets the influence of his country by the start of pretty much both world wars. I am not sure if he does know his country's history, but if so, it looks like he is out for something really stupid.

Commented in EU warns Poland that it has 24 hours to start taking in refugees
And what will the EU do to prevent the rise in crime and possible terror attacks that will surely follow? Because they haven't been doing a great job in England, France, Germany, Sweden, Belgium, etc.

Commented in Should the world eat more like the Cantonese?
Overdone pork? If that’s hard to find, France really has changed since I was last there. I wonder if you’d’ve any more luck trying to get chicken feet...

Commented in Should the world eat more like the Cantonese?
I am presently in a little town in France called Val d'Europe looking for a potential refuge from the aspiring corruptacracy known as the SAR. After 10 days on the road though, I do miss my dim sum, to the point of losing perspective. Give me char siu or give me death!

Commented in Wars are not won by military genius or decisive battles
Strategic depth and resolve is always more important than any commander. We saw such depth and resilience in Tsarist Russia in 1812, in France and Britain in the First World War, in the Soviet Union and the United States during the Second World War, but not in Carthage or overstretched Nazi Germany or overreaching Imperial Japan. The ability to absorb initial defeats and fight on surpassed any decision made or battle fought by Hannibal or Scipio, Lee or Grant, Manstein or Montgomery.
"It's not about how hard you hit; it’s about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done. "

Commented in Pictures from our trip to France.
2 weeks. We rented the converted farmhouse via the Gite program... http://gitelink.com/ If you ever go to France I highly recommend looking into the Gite system. It was about 600 Euro per week and it was a huge place. It held 7 of us. Kitchen, 3 bathrooms and washing machine. We rented a car and just drove all over the place.

Commented in Clinton aides blame loss on everything but themselves
The image that comes to mind watching this is France, 1789, from the point of view of court of Versailles. They never saw it coming, because they never thought there was a real problem. From the palace, everything was fine.

Commented in Transgender people no longer required to undergo sterilization in France
I'm not sure I understand. Transgender people were forced to sterilize themselves? In France?
Have the French forgotten the 1940's? Because forced sterilization of people the mainstream doesn't like has happened before there. I guess we should be happy this has just changed, but the real surprise is that it wasn't like that before.

Commented in France becomes first country to force all supermarkets to give unsold food to needy
Of course it is so much better to just "be done with it" then be a human and humane to get it to people who need it. The people who come pick up garbage don't do it for free either. That same money can be used to get it to someone in need.
If France can make a humane decision to help their citizens in need so can the US.

Commented in This video shows what ancient Rome actually looked like
This is right on time for me. I was just in Rome last month and visited all of the sites in this video. It's magical to see it in this format...and the Panthron is an amazing structure. When I was there David Gilmore played at the Circus Maximus, so how cool is that. Still being used (though it's pretty desolate with not much of the structure left) I've been to several Roman amphitheaters, including in France and they are still being used for concerts.

Commented in Flags of France — The Dialogue
Dig that flag of Mulhouse. Just try and spot it in that crazyquilt map of France, though. It's gotta be dazzling if you're to even find it in all that.

Commented in Open access: All human knowledge is there—so why can’t everybody access it?
Well said..And even if people rose up and offed them, others would just take their place, rinse and repeat..Although what France did way back when was not a bad idea.
