Actually I would consider this an optimistic estimate. There's a lot of exponentials picking up momentum, including global warming and AI, and the human collective is just too stupid to realize it.
That or just in denial.
Maybe it’s just the right mix of unfortunate truth and stubborn denial to rationalize having had kids.
