    I thought it was worn out in 2007. Pretty weird that people are still doing it.

      It's all marketing and brand recognition. Think about how long the iProducts have been on the market, there's a whole generation (well at least part of it) that's grown up using Apple products. Then you have all the people lagging behind, just in the last 5 years more and more older people have been using smartphones here in Germany. The iStuff is easily recognizeable and many see it as "modern technology" and "high quality". They are just bandwagoning and rebranding themselves as something new and modern and exciting... for the average joe. Stuff like this never caters to you and me.

      I didn't really mind it back in '07, but I agree it's 2015 now and time to move on from the "iBrand." Hell, even Apple themselves are moving away from it.
