If I had to guess, I'd say the software is self-contained without any outside connections while in the field. It is only operated by the wearer. So much like you can't hack a tank or night vision goggles, it would be very difficult to influence the actions of the MAXFAS without being in direct contact with it.

Kinda makes you wonder if they also have two hearts, four lungs, etc. Or is all that duplicate space just empty? What part gets the heart? The human or the horse part?

...Maybe I'm thinking too hard about the anatomy of a mythical creature.

I didn't really mind it back in '07, but I agree it's 2015 now and time to move on from the "iBrand." Hell, even Apple themselves are moving away from it.

I agree. I think it's a combination of that and how this site seems to have a much more friendly community. Whereas on reddit there was a lot more hostility and arguing than friendly discussion. I've only been here a day, but so far I feel like this is a place where thoughts can be stated without worrying about getting downvoted.
