Pizza Hut's concept touch table lets you swipe your way to a perfect pie

That was cool, but ultimately and unfortunately that adds little value to the experience. Really what is the difference from ordering online? other than its a touch table i guess...
Sometimes it can even slow you down. When I call my favorite pizza place for delivery, I just tell them to order what I ordered last time. If I used their website pizza builder app, It would take me like 5x longer. I doubt this thing will be saving people's orders and logins/passwords and all that.
I admit that is cool, but I worry about the jobs it will replace. That, and the immediate justification to raise the prices to pay for it. And as we all know once the prices go up, and the jobs are cut, they won't lower the prices again and just pocket all the extra profit. Kinda like the gas tax that a lot of commercial delivery companies charged a couple of years ago. A lot of them still charge it even though gas came down to were it was before. Why change it the customers were used to it now.
Good points.
How about they just make better pizza? Or even better... how about they get someone who actually cares to follow the order you make?
That was seriously cool, its like something you would see in a Back to the Future movie if Steve Jobs was the guy behind designing the tech props..
