Why Airplane Food Is So Bad

I also depends on the airline itself. Some are cheap and have nothing, some have expensive crappy food, and some have decent free food.
Flying DC -> Tokyo on ANA was pretty amazing. I was economy class, and still got like... Ice Cream, Wine, warm washcloths, and food that was decent enough I ate like... half.
I would choose to not have food wasted on me, and get free Wifi (even slow wifi) any day. I can bring my own snacks onboard easily, but I can't pull entertainment out of the air.
Interesting way to look at it. I think this applies to only long distance flights that are 6+ hours. No need to eat on a 2-3 hour flight, so it's best to just eat before getting to the airport.
