Does it make any difference at this point? It is pretty clear that climate change deniers are not going to change their mind even if the oceans boil over and they're steamed to death. You can't fight confirmation bias and religious fundamentalism, specially not when it comes from ignorants being fed propaganda by the mega rich.
I'm now 100% convinced that we're about to face the Great Filter, and it's just our own stupidity and short sightedness. We keep thinking that humans are the most intelligent beings in the world, but we're arguably the stupidest.
While I completely agree with you there is a lot of misinformation being disseminated. I have had "discussions" on this topic with my in-laws sadly it's pointless. Where ever it is they get their information from just has to instill reasonable doubt and now they are deniers. I imagine the denial stems from the people/corporations with money. They likely have a vested interest to ensure there is enough doubt in people to keep laws working in their favor.
