I doubt it. I think most of the crowd here on Snapzu is different than the crowd that left reddit "cause fuck Ellen Pao". Though I'm sure that a good amount (maybe even the majority) of us felt that she was a bad CEO, most of us have legitimate gripes with reddit and a change in staff doesn't fix that.

I agree. I was not a huge redditor to begin with (only there for two years). I looked at all the shit that was flying and cut my losses and moved on.n I just read the announcement post and saw all the 'fuck that bitch' posts and came to the conclusion that most of the folks left are people I really don't want to associate with. I may lurk a bit, but I have no plans on commenting or posting anymore. As the saying goes, you can't argue with crazy. And I am sure the subreddits I am lurking in will eventually make their way over here. And I also agree with /u/Autumnal. A great deal of the drama went to Voat. I poked around a bit when the admins could keep the site marginally up and no thanks.

I agree, I think content providers went here, and the fatpeoplehate/Ellen Pao drama went to voat.

Yes reddit has been going downhill since long before Ellen Pao. I had never even heard of her until a few months ago but I've seen reddit's quality decline pretty heavily for about 4 years now. Even though I've found this awesome community on Snapzu, I'm pretty bummed that reddit has taken such a turn for the worse. After 7 years on reddit and several redditgifts exchanges I feel pretty invested in the site. I don't really want to just give up on it, but it's been at least 2 years since I've had a genuinely enlightening conversation there. At least a year since I've had any conversation there that didn't feel like a debate. I'm tired of every comment being dissected. I know a lot of people are just playing devil's advocate but sometimes you just want to share an experience or an opinion and discuss it with like minded (or open minded) people. I'm also pretty sick of the top comments thread always being puns. I LOVE puns. Love them. But I really don't need to wade through three dozen puns every time I want to read the comments.
