I've never understood the reason people bash multimillion dollar CEO incomes. Yes - They are the TOP of the food chain. It might seem like a ton of money, but most times I would say they earned it. I realize not all CEO's are the founders, but they aren't your average run of the mill employee either. Do I think they get paid a lot? Yes. I also think that they should.

Reddit's downvote is the same function, in principal. Not in practice, though.

Reddit's downvote serves the exact same purpose as Snapzu's. It has, as you said, been bastardized to being a "you suck" button, essentially. Still occasionally used for "off topic" marker, but overall just crap.

I was originally thinking of leaving the up arrow and just making (-) be there for "down vote". My go-to instinct was for a "off topic" and I thought of a dash, but your idea of + and x makes a lot of sense and the visual appearance of it is....pleasant.

Im the opposite. Cash leaves me with 0 accountability. No paper trail at all. By establishing the path that my money took I find I consistently spend less money. I can SEE cash as money, and it just makes me think "buy/spend". My card is just plastic and holds none of the same feelings for me.

Good news is, we both found ways to help ourselves!

I think you summed it up perfectly. Reddit grew to be too big. The loudest are the craziest and everyone will upvote some good drama. It's a shame - but it provides people with the excitement they want. I'll be happy to hang out with like-minded individuals here and if that's not the case at least level-headed.

I found that when I would compare to others I would just see their highlight reels (successes) but I agree with the other comments here that 100% everyone does it. Maybe some more than others, but it happens. It never gets better, that's for sure - the shame exists every time I put my bowl of popcorn in the fridge when I am looking for a drink....EVERY time.
