Only 25Mbps and up will qualify as broadband under new FCC definition
FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler today is proposing to raise the definition of broadband from 4Mbps downstream and 1Mbps upstream to 25Mbps down and 3Mbps up. Fact is that we, as a nation, have paid these companies hundreds of billions of dollars for high speed internet access. Time and time again the phone companies have renege on what they promised to do since the 90's. If you're an American taxpayer, you personally have spent between $2000 and $6000 of your tax dollars for service you still won't get.
Honestly, I don't know if this will get any traction. Just because there's a law passed don't mean they're actually going to do anything about it in any meaningful timeframe.
So very true..And meanwhile they stab us in the back and laugh all the way to the bank.
