My first experience with the A10 Thunderbolt

I remember my first encounter with an A10. I had just gotten to my first base and honestly didn't know very much about the planes, but I was already used to the noise of them flying overhead.

One day, I was outside just minding my own business working in the heat, when I heard a noise that I'll never forget.

    BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRT

I look over at my buddy wide eyed, and exclaim, "What in the mother fuck what that!?" "Oh, that's the gun on the A10, they're doing live practice fire," he replied.

Every time I've heard that noise since, I can't help but smile.

Now the military is trying to phase out the A10, which is completely unbelievable. Well I say fuck the Bald Eagle's call, BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRT is the sound of freedom. You can't simply just get rid of the most awe inspiring freedom dispenser ever known to man. Seriously, they should've called this gun with wings the A10 Scrote Shriveler.

Let us not say "Let freedom ring," but "Let freedom rain" instead.

    Long Live the A10.

What distribution do you use for gaming?

I am currently running Linux Mint 17.2. I tried Ubuntu but I've never liked Unity as much as Cinnamon.

What distribution are you using and why do you recommend it?

/t/linuxgaming - A new tribe for playing video games on Linux!

I just created the tribe /t/linuxgaming. Playing PC games on Linux is becoming increasingly popular and I feel like a sub where people can get help and talk about their experiences with playing games on Linux would be useful.

Please stop by and check it out if your interested in converting to Linux for gaming, or at least trying it out!

    LoL on Linux

Does anyone know of a good guide for getting LoL running on linux, specifically Linux Mint? I know that there are plenty of guides out there but I really just want to follow something that will get the job done right.

Trouble waking up in the morning

I've always had trouble waking up in the morning, but for the past few weeks it's been nearly impossible for me to wake up. I've nearly been late to work countless times, even though I'm getting plenty of sleep. My alarm is usually good at waking me up, but for the past few weeks I've been still asleep with it going off right next to my head, not even waking up to hit snooze. I tried changing the alarm sound but that didn't help either.

Does anyone have any suggestions or good links for tips on waking up, or know of any alarm clocks that are meant for heavy sleepers? Any help would be appreciated.

Edit: Sorry, it completely slipped my mind to put a question in the title.

Hello Snapzu! Here is how I feel about my first day.

So, I'm another Reddit migrant. To be honest, I didn't really care at all what was going on over at Reddit, but I saw a few posts about Snapzu and decided to check it out. I didn't plan on leaving Reddit, but once I got my invite and really started checking out some Tribes it was like my eyes were open for the first time.

I've been on Reddit for the past 5 years and Snapzu feels like a breath of fresh air. I was very surprised that the community here has been so welcoming to all of us coming over from Reddit. I was always a lurker on Reddit, never really commenting much just skimming through a lot of the comments trying to find the good ones. My account has been active here for just over 12 hours, and I've commented more here than I ever did at Reddit. This community's positive attitude is very refreshing and makes it very easy for a newcomer to take part in conversations.

Thank you for having me! I'm happy to be here now and look forward to being an active part of the community and seeing how Snapzu progresses.

How likely is it that Reddit is done for? What could Snapzu do better?

I know that there is a lot of talk about yesterday being the final straw, but how likely is it that it really is? Furthermore, let's say Snapzu becomes the next Reddit. What could Snapzu/ the community do better to stop the site from destroying itself again?
