LoL on Linux

Does anyone know of a good guide for getting LoL running on linux, specifically Linux Mint? I know that there are plenty of guides out there but I really just want to follow something that will get the job done right.

I used to have Linux and it was a pain to setup league. My suggestion is not to even try it because even if u get it working there's going to be an enormous amount of lag and unplayability...atleast there was in my case.

I really wish LoL would port over to Linux. I really don't even like using Windows.

You can always dual boot both Linux and Windows so that way you can enjoy playing league and whenever ur done u can go back to using linux.

I know that's what I'm currently doing. I really just can't wait until Windows is a thing of the past and some type of Linux takes over. I know that's far fetched, but who knows.

There is no such thing as "done right" in case of LoL. The best thing you can try is PlayonLinux and follow the steps there. If you haven't tried it before, hit me up and I'll help you. No guarentee that it will work properly.

I've used PlayonLinux before and to be honest it usually just ends with me being frustrated. Sometimes you get lucky, and sometimes you don't.

I've never used Linux Mint before, mostly just Ubuntu, but have you tried using Wine? Pretty sure I had League working through Wine on my Ubuntu box. I know WoW and Hearthstone were working with it.

Could check out here and see if you can find anything of use.

Thank you for that link! It shows a gold rating for Mint 17 so I guess it's worth giving it a shot.
