So just a name change to get rid of the bad reputation Origin had? Not really sure switching the name to EA is an improvement in that regard.
You have a valid point. It's not like EA is a gold standard for anything other than "the place where good games go to die". There's no chance in hell I'll ever buy a game that requires two separate logins (one for Steam, one for Origin, or EA Accounts, or whatever they come up with next) to use.
At lease Steam has some value.
What was the reason they changed to Origin in the first place? I think it would be better for them to stay with Origin as EA games has a horrible repuation, some people won't buy any games with EA on it and they might not realise that Origin is EA.
