You have a valid point. It's not like EA is a gold standard for anything other than "the place where good games go to die". There's no chance in hell I'll ever buy a game that requires two separate logins (one for Steam, one for Origin, or EA Accounts, or whatever they come up with next) to use.
So just a name change to get rid of the bad reputation Origin had? Not really sure switching the name to EA is an improvement in that regard.
