I think the darker tone will make the DC movie universe really refreshing (as far as super hero movies go). Marvel is a lot of fun because it is very much like watching a comic book; it is a lot of fun. The DC movies (from what we have seen so far) bring a nice bit of realism, with somewhat more "believable" conflicts.

It drives me nuts that with all of the data put out around global warming and climate change, not a lot is being done. I sometimes wish I got more into environmental science to do some work on sustainability.

I was really bummed they didn't do Ozymandias' plan from the graphic novel, although, having Dr. Manhattan be the scapegoat made a lot more sense.

Really interesting read to see some of their viewpoints. What bothered me the most about the whole thing is that it really had Pao written all over the decisions. When you look at her comments about free speech, the fact that there are a lot of subreddits that should have been taken down along with the original 5, and that any comments surrounding her/her husband and their court cases leads to shadow bans, it seems pretty obvious she is taking control of the site. The purpose of community based anything is to allow the members influence how things are managed and decided (to an extent of course). As soon as that is taken away (like what happened here), all hell is going to break loose.

I would love to get the admin's opinion on this (although not sure if they can share it unless they come together and make a decision together). I for one kind of like the invite system. It isn't impossible to register without an invite from a current user, and invites actually help avoid having people join for the sake of causing trouble. Although it would be cool if you could get more invites based on your reputation on the site from people following you/upvoting you.

Snapzu is definitely underpopulated, but it is somewhat newer compared to other places. On top of that, the sign-up process is a little more involved which I am sure deters a lot of people who would be considered trolls, or the "bad apples" that you would see in places like reddit and 4chan.

I think this community will grow over time. The great thing is that it is not THAT easy to register, and so you either waiting for a code to come your way, or you have friends who trust you to act appropriately on the site.

I have always wanted to get into magic, but can't justify spending the money.

This is pretty awesome though. I wonder how exactly the police confirmed/are confirming the cards belong to the original individual and the guy actually stole them.

I wish that they have a a secret showcase. It is not actually listed in their schedule, but word will spread that at one point during the event, a certain stage will need to be checked out for some kind of epic release. People will pack in like sardines, waiting, wondering what it is that is going on here. What could be so secret that this event wouldn't be listed?

The lights will slowly go dim, and the speakers will start a low humming sound. Suddenly, this will play:

People will start freaking out. Two spotlights will shine on either side of the stage; Kojima on one end, and Guillermo del Toro. They will walk towards one another as the room cheers, and as they meet in the centre of the stage, they will jump and high-five. But this is no normal high-five. As their hands connect, explosions will being going off all over. In the chaos and confusion, a motor cycle will be heard reving. In an instant, Norman Reedus will come flying through the back screen on a glorious Harley. Kojima and Del Toro will then get on the back of it, and just before they ride off into the sunset, Kojima will tell everyone that Silent Hills is being released a week after.
