Remember seeing this article a long time ago, and someone pointed out that Dr Robert Lanza had collaborated with Deepak Chopra, who's notorious for plucking out and misusing concepts from quantum physics to somehow justify his claims on spirituality. So... I won't buy this claim so easily :P

If so nothing proves that the substance of consciousness stays unified.

Nothing says its unified now. If anything it appears completely dynamic. It's only the concept of individualism that suggests otherwise. Nearly every other aspect of biology, ecosystem and physics would suggest underlying interconnectedness.

      NDE's tell a lot.

Some NDE's have been duplicated in controlled lab experiments, not involving near death.

I am ecumenical / interdenominational. A perennial philosopher, if you will.

I see more common threads than weakest links, and thus agree with Charles Hartshorne.

Have read a lot of "philosophers/philosophies" in my time, only to arrive at the conclusion: they are mostly B.S.

Modern philosophy is a dreadful thing, this Hartshorne I mentioned is a Theologian.

I refer to ancient as well as modern. Philosophy addresses the human dilemma, as does religion. The argument for their differences/separation makes no sense to anyone other than the self-proclaimed philosopher or theologian. If there is no philosophy contained in religion, can be none in it's denial.
