    Well, it's a bit like living in a park, isn't it? Not something I'm keen to do, but the park certainly has a place in my day. 8chan, etc are definitely free-for-alls, but I don't think they're exactly a true public space, either. All the government money seems to go towards building faster and faster "roads" online, but so little thought has gone into creating a destination of any sort.

      More like downtown New Jersey. A big meeting place, lots going on, but it's not very nice. I think snapzu has more of a suburban vibe. Fairly quiet, very friendly, but lacks a bit of wildness. Otoh, 8chan is wild hip, and free.
