To me the good thing about saying Hi in the /t/lounge is that you already get comments and advice from people who've been here the longest, and if it was in another tribe not many people would actually see their introduction.
I am not sure what is the best option, I just want people to still say Hi, but not clog the /t/lounge with endless Hellos.

Don't believe that warranted a downvote to be honest. /u/nebraska wasn't being rude to the person making the snap, he was giving his guidelines to the people who are reading this snap at the moment. And it's a good advice as far as I'm concerned.
So in this instance you downvoted someone for disagreeing with them, since that user was not using hate speech or being offensive. -

Yes I think this joins up with a few other ideas thrown around. People see the downvote arrow and assume what they want to assume from it ; dislike, disagree etc... If it's gone, and the only option is bad content and report, it would make people think twice. If they disagree with the comment above them, they can't really choose any of these two options.
Are the admins able to see which accounts are primarily giving the downvotes, if so can these accounts receive a modmail with a reminder about the rules?

My tribe /t/boardgames has a few more members, and although it's geared towards boardgames specifically, I'm sure there would be people there who are also interesting in tabletop gaming.

The fact that this snap already has 3 downvotes is just annoying. What would be the reason for downvoting this snap, apart from being reactionary?
I've received 10 downvotes on my comments from Saturday. I don't know which ones, I don't know why, but what I know is that none of my comments broke any of the Snapzu rules and warranted those downvotes. It's pretty disappointing that a small % of the new "Reddit Refugees" is not adapting and making it harder for the rest of the community who is happy to adapt here. I'm also a Redditor, not part of this new wave however, so it was easier to adapt as there were less of us trickling in.
I'm hoping in a week's time things will have become better, if not I know I can count on the mod team to tweak a few things like they mentioned so that there will be little downvote abuse.
