Not true. The global trend has been toward less conflict, not more. What's changed is our ability to communicate has vastly improved and the conflicts that do happen are bloodier than before.

Depends on what you read for information. Income distribution is at a perilous level as are ideological positions, ie, the rise of populist leaders. Unfortunately, I am not optimistic that we will avoid a major conflict in my lifetime.
