yes, but how many people cook their rice in rice cookers? I'm not sure if this simple change can be done with a rice cooker...

I steam mine for best effect, but I'm going to have to try this method.
It would probably taste the same, just a different chemical makeup right? Like a potato changing starch from good to bad when it is heated.
Funny how most people in 3rd world developing countries eat rice for the high calorie count, otherwise they would starve.
1st world problems.

Most of the people who eat rice need the starch.
Agreed, in many of the places where the rice is being consumed its really the only thing on the menu.
Why not just eat less rice?
