George Lucas: I'm not a sci-fi fan

George Lucas has revealed he has little interest in science fiction, despite creating the Star Wars universe. "I really have no interest in science fiction at all," he said. George, who sold his company Lucasfilm to Disney in 2012, said he was concerned about the growing number of "circus movies" being made. "A lot of movies you see today are circus movies. Let's see how much blood comes out when it splats. It's now gotten to be more and more circus than substance," he said.

    Actually, read this dude's comment on IGN. Crappy news sites making up stuff now. Here's some copypasta from the comment...

    ...“I really had no interest in science fiction, at all” was the accurate quote, as he was referring to a time early in his career (at roughly 7:20 in the video below). Changing the word “had,” which is past tense, to the word “have,” which is present tense, while not explaining his use of that sentence in it’s proper context, completely changes what Lucas said or meant.

    Short and sweet, Lucas likes sci-fi. Internet news however, sucks.
