    What's your goal?

There are a lot of programs out there. e.g. C25K (couch to 5K), SS (Starting Strength), P90X, Crossfit, SL (Strong Lifts).

For me, I do something that is similar to Strong Lifts (SL). At the center of SL is a 5 x 5; doing 5 reps for 5 sets.

There are several exercise moves that are fundamental to my workouts. They are: 1. Deadlifts 2. Squats 3. Pull-ups 4. Overhead presses 5. Barbell row 6. Bench Press or pushups 7. High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT); sprints 8. Sled-pulls

I value inner strength, both mentally and physically. That's why I focus on compound lifts that work out multiple muscle groups, and particularly those that work out the legs and core. Out of the eight workouts above, I do Deadlifts and/or Squats every lifting session which is typically every other day. I also do sled pulls (pulling a sled that has 50 to 100 lbs, for about 0.25 miles) once a week.

Now, I did have a trainer help me with my form for these compound lifts, and I watched a lot of videos. I also started off with very low weights for a few weeks, for example, just the bar. Form is really important. Part of having inner strength is knowing when your ego is acting up- knowing when to add more weight, and knowing when to step back to really make sure you're doing the moves correctly. I think having proper form will prevent you from getting injured too badly.

Also, to prevent injury, avoid leg extension machines. Also, I personally avoid machines in general (e.g. the Smith machine).

Hm, didn't realize there were various flavors of neutrinos.

    From wikipedia

Neutrinos' low mass and neutral charge mean they interact exceedingly weakly with other particles and fields. This feature of weak interaction interests scientists because it means neutrinos can be used to probe environments that other radiation (such as light or radio waves) cannot penetrate.

Using neutrinos as a probe was first proposed in the mid-20th century as a way to detect conditions at the core of the Sun. The solar core cannot be imaged directly because electromagnetic radiation (such as light) is diffused by the great amount and density of matter surrounding the core. On the other hand, neutrinos pass through the Sun with few interactions. Whereas photons emitted from the solar core may require 40,000 years to diffuse to the outer layers of the Sun, neutrinos generated in stellar fusion reactions at the core cross this distance practically unimpeded at nearly the speed of light.

I think it would be interesting to have a discussion of what 'bad Reddit culture' is.

Recently, I downloaded a game called Plague Inc, where the point is to design a pathogen to eradicate humans from a map. It's great to play for an hour or so at a time- I recently played it on a long plane ride.

Found myself not using reddit all that much over the last year, and the quality of the content declined over the past few years. The front page used to be filled with actual though-provoking articles, and passionate, reasoned discussions. Slowly, that content was replaced with imgur links to pictures or gifs, or TIFU-type stories that were, yes, occasionally funny/interesting, but also were lacking in substance. And now, the content has gone meta. It's just not interesting.

I also don't want to support a company that doesn't appreciate their users, when the users are the ones that help them make money.

I want to learn more, and not read or view content that was regurgitated. I want to participate in a community (whether directly or indirectly) that adds value to our lives. A lot of the smaller subreddits were very useful in making changes in my own life. r/fitness, r/progresspics, and even r/fph for example. I'll still go to those small subreddits that have an established community, but I'm optimistic that there will be replacements that will allow me not to visit reddit anymore.

It would be very easy to incorporate feathered dinosaurs into the sequels - by arguing that, as we started to recognize dinosaurs having feathers, scientists working at Jurassic Park/World started to incorporate bird-DNA into the dino genome. If they can feature a genetically modified ridiculous concoction as Indominous Rex in the Jurassic Park universe, surely, those scientists can add feathers to dinosaurs. I'd be interested to see what a reboot of JP would be like.

Hi all, I have been on reddit for at least 6 years. Besides the smaller subreddits, I'm done using it. I'm looking forward to the change, and the improvement in quality of discussion and posts here!
