The Lego Version of Springfield Is the Best Simpsons Fan Tribute Ever
When Lego announced earlier this year that it would be releasing a series of Simpsons minifigures, most fans of the show (or of Legos) figured they’d just be putting Homer or Apu or Nelson Muntz in a generic brick-based environment, or recreating a scene from the Lego episode of the show, or maybe just sticking them on a keychain.

'The Simpsons' Marathon More Than Triples Primetime Audience for FXX
FXX scored solid ratings in primetime Thursday with its “The Simpsons” marathon, more than tripling the network’s usual audience and contributing to the nascent channel’s most-watched day ever. According to Nielsen estimates, the six half-hours of “The Simpsons” averaged a 0.49 rating in adults 18-49 and 1.01 million viewers overall. The demo score was good enough for a fifth-place primetime finish for FXX — ahead of parent network FX as well as cable biggies including TNT and USA.

See the first image from the ‘Futurama’-‘Simpsons’ crossover episode
Good—no, great—news, everyone: Springfield will be the site of another crossover episode besides the invasion of the Griffins from Family Guy when the Simpsons encounter a familiar pack of now-homeless space adventurers. Futurama, the 31st-century animated comedy that was canceled (again) last year, will return to life—or at least Fry, Leela & Co. will—in a special episode of The Simpsons airing Nov. 9.

Ay, caramba! 25 years of 'Simpsons,' 25 things you never knew about the hit show

We’ve Been Wrong About Springfield This Whole Time
I’ve been a fan of The Simpsons for a long time. Obviously. So when I heard that SpaceX’s head guy Elon Musk was guest-starring on the show, I hoped it would be a good episode. And it was! As I watched I marvelled at how funny the show was even after all these decades and laughed quite a bit as the story unfolded. Until a scene came up that chilled me to the bone. I was so shocked that I had to rewind and watch it again, then freeze frame it to make sure I wasn’t hallucinating.
