10 Longest-running TV Shows
Before Netflix was turning out binge-able content by the truckload, we had television shows. They're still around, of course, but since the first television drama aired in 1928, things have changed. Austin becomes the first Texas city to experiment with ‘guaranteed income’
Austin will be the first major Texas city to use local tax dollars to give cash to low-income families to keep them housed as the cost of living skyrockets in the capital city. Under a yearlong, $1 million pilot program that cleared a key Austin City Council vote Thursday, the city will send monthly checks of $1,000 to 85 needy households at risk of losing their homes — an attempt to insulate low-income residents from Austin’s increasingly expensive housing market and prevent more people fro...

Buffett Says He Wouldn't Take All the Bitcoin in the World for $25
Warren Buffett has always been a bitcoin skeptic. But the billionaire investor had his most harsh words yet for the cryptocurrency over the weekend. Buffett made it clear that his opposition to crypto has nothing to do with whether people can make money trading bitcoin. Buffett’s opposition is purely on principle because bitcoin has no intrinsic value.

Get ready for your evil twin
Earlier this year a chilling academic study was published by researchers at Lancaster University and UC Berkeley. Using a sophisticated form of AI known as a GAN (Generative Adversarial Network) they created artificial human faces (i.e. photorealistic fakes) and showed these fakes to hundreds of human subjects along with a mix of real faces. They discovered that this type of AI technology has become so effective, we humans can no longer tell the difference between real people and virtual people ...

Does the World Outside Your Mind Exist?
Is there a reality outside of our perception? If we cannot see, hear, feel, or otherwise perceive something, does it really exist? Solipsism is the philosophical idea that we can only ever be certain of the existence of our own mind. The world and other people outside of it may only exist as electrical stimuli in our brain. Constructs we build ourselves. Concepts to which we attach meaning. Information we process, interpret and use to survive. An objective reality may not even exist.
