What was the last film that made you cry?

I watched Field of Dreams again over the weekend and I always end up crying at the end of it.

What films make you cry and what was the last one you cried at?

If you mean like developing a protective layer of water over the eyes to fend off dust particles and potential danger from bugs, then I would have to say Dear Zachary: A Letter to a Son About His Father, that was a tough documentary to watch, I will say I was also very upset at the end of that one.

I saw that one a while back, and yeah, it was such a brutal story. It was a big deal in Canada, laws were changed because of what happened (not to spoil it).

I totally know what you mean about that one. Amazing documentary. A tough one, but worth it

That twist was intense, I definitely recommend anyone looking for a good documentary to see it.

I don't tear up often watching movies but Hachi: A Dog's Tale made me weep like a little girl.

    Tokyo Twilight.

I picked up the film at the library, searching for interesting-looking Japanese movies but I didn't expect it to affect me as much as it did. It was made in the 1950s but the themes are really universal. A delicate rendering of tragedy without solace :(

last one that had me bawling was Mary & Max. and before that Grave of Fireflies.

both are amazing, wonderful must-watch films.

Last night I got a little glassy eyed while watching Last Man on the Moon. Mostly due to feeling inspired by the bravery and ingenuity humans can bring when they are so focused on a goal.

Last time before that was during the scene in the Revenant when Glass finds his dead son. Specifically how he rests his head on his chest and tells him that he is his son and that he won't leave him, and the transition to that shot of the sun in the clouds. I'm a divorced father and have days where I feel like I lost my family (in a different way). The additional thought of losing my boy the way Glass did was wrenching. I didn't sob like a baby but I did have a couple of tears streaming down my cheek, which made my GF get excited and then start crying herself (mostly bc she saw a couple of tears in my eyes).

The Notebook. I had a chance to re-watch it on TV a few days ago and I forgot how gut wrenching the ending is!
