Last night I got a little glassy eyed while watching Last Man on the Moon. Mostly due to feeling inspired by the bravery and ingenuity humans can bring when they are so focused on a goal.

Last time before that was during the scene in the Revenant when Glass finds his dead son. Specifically how he rests his head on his chest and tells him that he is his son and that he won't leave him, and the transition to that shot of the sun in the clouds. I'm a divorced father and have days where I feel like I lost my family (in a different way). The additional thought of losing my boy the way Glass did was wrenching. I didn't sob like a baby but I did have a couple of tears streaming down my cheek, which made my GF get excited and then start crying herself (mostly bc she saw a couple of tears in my eyes).
