Disney-Marvel’s “Black Panther” is heading for a super-heroic $218 million debut over the four-day President’s Day weekend at 4,020 North American locations, estimates showed Sunday. That number means that “Black Panther,” starring Chadwick Boseman and directed by Ryan Coogler, has doubled its original tracking in less than a month. The film, which carries an estimated $200 million production cost, had been tracking to bring in between an impressive $100 and $120 million when first estimates emerged on Jan. 25...

Marvel Comics icon Stan Lee spent a night in the hospital but is out now and says he's feeling fine. "All I really want to do is tell you that I'm feeling great," Lee told Eyewitness News in a Skype interview. "I'm glad I spent that evening in the hospital. It did me a lot of good. It probably did my fans a lot of good. It kept me off their backs for the evening. But I'm feeling good now and I can't wait to get in there and tangle with all the competition."

Award-winning costume designer Anna Shepard has been tapped for the untitled sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming, this according to a source of ours working in the production. The tip comes a day after we ran the news that Defenders and Daredevil Season 1 cinematographer Matthew Lloyd and Rise of the Planet of the Apes production designer Claude Pare were being hired to spruce up the film.

BY LAURA PRUDOM Chris Hemsworth has only been playing Marvel's mighty Thor for seven years, but in that short span, he's reprised the character just as many times (or more, if you count director Taika Waititi's hilarious Team Thor short films) -- having just wrapped filming on Joe and Anthony Russo's Avengers: Infinity War and its untitled follow-up, Avengers 4.

Apart from Karen Gillan, Avengers: Infinity War will also star Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Hemsworth, Anthony Mackie, Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olson among others.

Last month, the Avengers: Infinity War trailer gave fans their first look at the chaos Thanos will bring when he shows up to collect the remaining Infinity Stones and now Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige says won't have to wait for something really bad to happen in the upcoming film. It happens in the first five minutes.

Marvel Studios has a couple billion reasons to be thankful this year. The studio has now earned over $2.5 billion at the worldwide box office in 2017. The studio broke its own annual record from 2015 ($1.93B) weeks ago and everything else has just been gravy. This is the first year in which Marvel Studios has released three films, but all that’s been overextended are moviegoers’ wallets. Thor: Ragnarok now stands at $759.3M midway through the holiday weekend. It should eclipse $800M before too long, joining its to Marvel Cinematic Universe predecessors in 2017.

More troubling news from the developers of soon to be no more Marvel Heroes: staff at studio Gazillion report they were all let go yesterday - the day before Thanksgiving. Not only that, the developers report Marvel Heroes, a Marvel-themed free-to-play Diablo-style game for PC and consoles, will shut down tomorrow, Friday 24th November. The note on the Marvel Heroes website says the game will go dark on 31st December 2017.

This doesn’t seem to be the only scene taking place in the past as previous set photos appear to be taking place during the events of the first Avengers film. Whether this is simply a flashback scene facilitated by Tony Stark’s B.A.R.F. technology or if it was a trip facilitated by the time stone remains to be seen.

A Marvel film that fans are always asking for but never seem to get, Black Widow remains as one of the only two original Avengers without a solo film. While Hawkeye doesn’t have much backstory, Black Widow’s origin is definitely one that could take centre stage in its own film and the creator of the Marvel Universe agrees.

As he heads into his third offshore and second domestic weekend, the god of thunder has hammered out a mighty $502.3M at the worldwide box office through Wednesday. Disney/Marvel’s Thor: Ragnarok now becomes the 12th consecutive Marvel Cinematic Universe film to reach the threshold, and the 14th to do so out of 17 films total.

Sunday AM, 7:30AM: Disney is calling Marvel’s Thor Ragnarok at $121M which is bigger than we thought, eclipsing the top of the pic’s industry tracking range which was at $100M-$120M heading into the weekend. Some rivals even believe that Ragnarok could final at $122M by tomorrow AM. Ragnarok‘s Saturday at $44.4M was only off 5% off from its $46.8M opening, but remember that figure includes $14.5M previews.
