New here, and a little lost

Hello! Snapzu seems like a much nicer environment than what I've grown used to on a certain other discussion board. I'd appreciate a bit of help getting oriented.

  1. Is there an equivalent of reddit's personal "front page" view? i.e. content from only the tribes I've subscribed to.
  2. What's the best way to find tribes to join?

Is there an equivalent of reddit's personal "front page" view? i.e. content from only the tribes I've subscribed to.

Yes, your "home" page can be customized so that you only see items from the people you follow or the tribes you follow. The "home" button is the picture of the house in the upper right corner. You can further pare down the items listed on the home page by going to the notifications button (the picture of a list two to the left of the house) and clicking the gear image to change your settings.

What's the best way to find tribes to join?

There's a tribe index but you may see additional ones by clicking on individual users and seeing what tribes they follow. For example: I'm the chief of /t/atheism and /t/secular but neither appear in the index.

Don't forget to read through the FAQ!

Thank you! The Activity Feed only seems to sort by date, when I was looking more for a "what's popular" view. But I found what I was looking for in the FAQ you linked to: the "My Tribes" option on the Front Page does exactly what I want.

Thanks also for the link to the index! That's really helpful. I'll be sure to flip through people's profiles as well.
